XT420, XT460, XTNi or XTNiD missing rubber talk button

Missing rubber push-to-talk button?

The rubber button on the Motorola XTNi, XTNiD, XT420 and XT460 radios are an integral part of the housing.  These should last for many years, but I think staff pick at the rubber until it departs the housing. Once the button has broken you will need a new housing to correct the problem. Further, once the PTT rubber has been removed the internal metal dome switch is accessible through the small hole of the case. This sometimes results in a sharp object been inserted to activate the mechanical dome switch. Often this results in the switch getting damaged, which then also needs to be replaced. Mike Ashby Comms will replace the case, and if necessary, the metal dome switch. We will also check for any liquid ingress and treat if required.
