Motorola DP1400 repairs in the UK

Mike Ashby Comms offers a specialized repair service for a wide range of walkie-talkie radios, including the popular Motorola DP1400. Repairs to the DP1400 handheld radio along with many other makes and models, are carried out in my fully equipped workshop. The DP1400 was no longer manufactured after September, 2023 and replaced by the R2 model. The R2 offers a more compact design, is lighter and has a longer battery life along with superior audio.

The Motorola DP1400 replaced the popular CP040, both radios are still in wide use throughout the United Kingdom. Both these models are repaired by Mike Ashby Comms along with the DP2600, DP4400 and DP4800 series. 

Common issues on the DP1400 are intermittant volume control, volume stuck on high, no deviation when transmitting, no speaker audio orPTT issues. These are all generally repairable, and damaged housing and battery contacts can be replaced in house. The fixed price repair for the DP1400 is £35.00, which excludes batteries, antennas, housings and charging equipment, which can be priced seperately if any of these need attention or replacement.
