Walkie-talkie two-way radio repair shop

Fixed price repairs of two-way radio handsets, UK postal service.

Mike Ashby Comms offers an expert, fixed price, postal repair service for walkie-talkie two-way radios which covers the UK and most EU countries. The repair shop is in Basingstoke, Hampshire and repairs can be dropped off at the building reception if you are close enough. With over forty years of experience within the radio communications industry, Mike offers a repair service for most makes and models of handheld radios. My service is used by two-way radio dealers, schools, leisure centres, farmers, security providers, gyms, hotels, night clubs, bars, parks, individuals, and other users of two-way radio handsets.

Repairs can be sent to the address on the repair form via a courier or the postal service, please make sure you use a method that allows for your package to be tracked and signed for. As a sole trader I am not always in the office, but parcels are accepted on my behalf by the building reception staff for safekeeping. My hours are 0900hrs to 1600hrs, Monday to Friday and my main number diverts to my mobile phone when I am out of the office, so you can get hold of me during the opening hours. +44(0)333 9009008) To download the "Repair Form", "Price List", and details of the repair service, click the red button below.

The repair shop carries out repairs to licensed, licence free PMR, and digital handsets. Manufacturers covered are Motorola, Icom, HYT, Hytera, Kenwood, Vertex, Kirisun, Opus, and some other makes. As I have low overheads I can offer low cost, expert repairs, for instance a licensed PMR radio, such as the GP340, has a fixed price of £26.65 per radio, plus return shipping. The price for return shipping depends on the delivery address, but the UK mainland is normally between £6.50 and £9.65 depending on the number of units to be sent back. The warranty on repairs is three months from date of invoice, please test your radios when you receive them to verify they are working. Warranty claims where the customer states "the radios were stored when received and we took one out to use and it does not work" will not be entertained. I have had customers that say this six or more months down the road, please test the radio when you receive it back!

I do ask that radios are sent without batteries and antennas (If detachable), if you suspect battery issues, try a battery from a known good radio. If the range seems poor, try an antenna (where detachable) from a working radio, aerials can and do go faulty.

As a sole trader, I maintain this website myself, as and when time permits, so if you want a product listed just use the "Contact Form" to request this. I will do my best to source and list the product you are searching for, then send you a link to the item.
