Mike Ashby Comms is operated by Michael Ashby t/a Mike Ashby Comms. I am a sole trader that has a career spanning some forty years within the radio communications industry. Starting in 1976 I attended the Posts and Telecommunications college in what was Salisbury, in Rhodesia. This was sponsored by the BSAP with who I served (1975 to 1981) during the bush war in that Country. Moving to South Africa in 1983, I was employed by Motorola until they pulled out of SA. After that I was employed at an antenna and duplexer manufacturer for a number of years. I moved to the UK in 2003 and have lived in Basingstoke since 2006. I offer a flat rate repair service for most makes and models of handheld two-way radios as well as repairs to licence free walkie talkies, six-way bank chargers and high tier headsets.
Based in Basingstoke, the repair service is offered UK wide and equipment can be sent via mail or courier service. Clients include schools, colleges, individuals, farmers, pubs, hotels, business small and large to name a few.
My workshop is fully equipped to ensure your handheld radios are repaired and serviced to the highest standard. With a large holding of OEM spare parts I am able to repair and service most makes of walkie talkie two-way radios. I consider my service to be cost effective and you will be hard pressed to get your handsets repaired at the prices that I offer. With prices starting at £23.00 plus VAT for a pair of consumer licence free radios to £38.00 for digital handsets. I am also more than happy to source earpieces, headsets, accessories and new two-way handheld radios that you may require.
I also repair Portable two-way radio equipment for a number of radio dealers, who either have staff on leave, excess work or do not have an engineer. This is a totally confidential service and I never approach your customers at any time.
