Motorola XTNi, XTNiD, XT420, XT460 missing PTT rubber button
Repairs to licence free walkie talkies
Mike Ashby Comms offer a fixed price repair service for most makes of handheld two way radios. If you licence free radio is missing the rubber talk button you will in a number of cases require a new housing. This is because the actual rubber is an integral part of the housing and cannot be replaced on its own. On occassion I have had the above radios in for a replacement housing, where the client has tried to put the radio into talk mode by using a sharp object through the hole left by the missing button. This has caused damage to the internal mechanical switch which then has to be replaced. My repair service is available to individuals, education facilities, schools, farmers, business, security companies to mention a few.
